Lakeside, California (January 14, 2019) – At least one person was injured after an alleged DUI collision Sunday afternoon in Lakeside, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at around 4:04 p.m. Sunday, January 13, at Highway 67 and Slaughterhouse Canyon Road.

As per the CHP officials, two vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation. One of the vehicles reportedly went about 15 ft off the roadway into a ditch while the other vehicle was blocking northbound lanes following the collision.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to at least one person who complained of pain as a result of the collision. The victim’s name and their current condition remained unknown.

Two trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

No additional details concerning the incident were provided.
