Laguna Beach, California (July 24, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after multiple vehicles collided in Laguna Beach Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The major injury crash happened on the 73 Freeway, just south of the toll plaza, at around 9:30 a.m.
As per the CHP report, a 2019 white Mercedes GLC300 SUV moving at a high rate of speed on the southbound side of the interstate crashed into a black Chevrolet and a 1999 maroon Toyota Sienna minivan in the morning hours.
Due to the impact, one of the involved automobiles overturned.
Laguna Beach Multi-Vehicle Accident
One unidentified person sustained major injuries following the accident. The victim was attended to by paramedics before being taken to an area hospital for further medication.
The crash resulted in the closure of all southbound lanes of the 73 Freeway for an unknown time.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
