Lafayette, California (April 17, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a traffic collision Wednesday evening in the area of Lafayette, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at around 6:38 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, on eastbound Highway 24 near Oak Hill Road off-ramp

As per the report, a 2012 silver Honda NC700 motorcycle and an orange Hyundai Accent crashed for reasons still under investigation. The motorcyclist and the vehicle came to a halt in the median following the collision.

Responding paramedics attended to the motorcyclist who was injured in the collision. The victim was transported to Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek Medical Center after a complaint of pain to the left leg and abrasion to the left knee.

The patient’s name and their current condition were not immediately known.

Officials blocked lane 1 following the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
