La Mesa, California (April 6, 2019) – Major injuries were reported after a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle Saturday morning in the area of La Mesa, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash happened at around 5:52 a.m. Saturday, on 8 Freeway near Lake Murray Boulevard.
As per the report, five vehicles including a motorcycle crashed. A wrong-way driver allegedly caused the collision.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately released.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
The vehicles were blocking lanes 1, 2 and 3 following the crash. All lanes were opened as of 7:28 a.m.
No additional information concerning the incident was provided.
