1 Seriously Injured in La Mesa Motorcycle Collision on 8 Freeway near Baltimore Drive
La Mesa, California (July 26, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a motorcycle accident that transpired Friday evening in La Mesa, sending one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said a motorcycle collided with a car at about 6:46 p.m. on westbound 8 Freeway near Baltimore Drive and Fletcher Parkway.
The motorcycle allegedly rear-ended a blue Scion for unknown reasons.
First responders found the rider down in the No. 1 lane.
One person who sustained major injuries in the crash was cited for an unspecified traffic violation and released to the hospital.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
