Kristin Scott Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on U.S. Highway 101 in Smith River
Kristin Scott ID’d as 1 of 3 Victims Injured in Smith River Car Accident on U.S. Highway 101 near Crissey Road

Smith River, California (September 27, 2019) – One of the three people who were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Smith River has been identified as Kristin Scott, 60.
The accident happened at around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25 on U.S. Highway 101, just south of Crissey Road.
Authorities said a 1997 Toyota Rav4 driven by Scott, was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 101 when for an unknown reason, the Toyota drifted into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2004 Lexus RX330 driven by a 73-year-old woman.
Scott sustained a broken femur, chest and back pain, and lacerations to her arms. The driver of the Lexus suffered a broken leg, cracked rib and bruised thumb and her passenger had chest and hip pain.
All three patients were taken to Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City.
Both vehicles were towed away from the crash site.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
