Kings Beach, California (April 12, 2021) – At least one person was severely hurt in a traffic collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Kings Beach, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash happened at about 2:11 p.m. at the intersection of Dolly Varden Avenue and Highway 267.

The accident involved a motorcycle and one other vehicle. Both vehicles were blocking the roadway after the crash.

An air ambulance was requested to the scene to airlift at least one person who suffered serious injuries. The patient was hospitalized in an unknown condition.

The report did not mention the cause and manner of the accident.

Both vehicles were towed away from the collision scene.

CHP is investigating the incident.
