King City, CA: 1 Hospitalized after Big Rig Crash on Mesa Verde Road near Wild Horse Road

King City, California (April 24, 2021) – One person was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a traffic collision Saturday morning in King City, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash involved a semi-truck and a Honda Civic and occurred at around 8:49 a.m. o Mesa Verde Road, just north of Wild Horse Road.

A male subject in the Civic was unable to get out of the car.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the party.

The victim suffered major injuries and was transported by AMR to Natividad Medical Center for treatment.

The Civic was towed away from the scene with major front-end damage.

An investigation is underway.
