80-Year-Old Salvador Mejia Dies in West Sacramento Pedestrian Accident at Sacramento Avenue and Todhunter Avenue
West Sacramento, California (April 8, 2019) – 80-year-old Salvador Mejia has been identified as the elderly man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in West Sacramento Thursday evening.
The fatal pedestrian crash occurred at approximately 5:52 p.m. April 4, at Sacramento and Todhunter avenues.
The accident occurred when Mejia was hit by a vehicle at the intersection. No further details regarding the manner in which the accident occurred have been released.

Mejia was pronounced dead at the scene following the wreck. The driver of the vehicle involved stopped and cooperated with the authorities.
According to the Sacramento Police Department who are handling the case, neither drugs nor alcohol were expected to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
