Kern Accident Near State Route 178 Injures Pedestrian

Kern, California (July 5, 2021) – A female party was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Saturday evening in Kern, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident happened when a parked white Toyota pickup truck driver at the Lake Isabella Auxiliary Dam Campground accidentally stepped on the gas and hit a 70-year-old woman inside a tent set up in the area.

As per the report, the female party sustained major injuries following the accident.
There were no other victims hurt in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
