Kenneth Long Hurt in Tuolumne County Head-On Collision on La Grange Road
Tuolumne County, California (June 8, 2021) – 77-year-old Kenneth Long, of Auberry, has been identified as one of the victims hurt in a head-on collision Saturday afternoon in Tuolumne County.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash site at approximately 4:20 p.m., on June 5, on La Grange Road near Paseo Seven Legends.
The accident happened when a 2008 Toyota Camry driven by 48-year-old Ricky Andrew Haines of Oakdale northbound on La Grange Road veered off into the left, over the double yellow lines, directly in front of a 2017 Ford F350 operated by 51-year-old Shannon Leann Eldrige southbound on the roadway.
The two vehicles then collided head-on in the process.
Kenneth Long Minor Injury Tuolumne Crash
Leann Eldrige together with her two passengers, Kenneth Long and a 72-year-old Auberry woman sustained minor injuries in the accident. Ms.Eldrige was treated at the crash site while the two passengers were rushed to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment.
Mr. Haines was flown to Doctors Medical Center after the collision for medication.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
