Kenneth Boyd Killed in Bicycle Accident on Highway 29 in Napa County
Kenneth Boyd ID’d as Bicyclist Killed in Napa County Crash on Highway 29 near North Kelly Road

Napa County, California (October 25, 2020) – Authorities have identified the bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning in Napa County as Kenneth Boyd, 65, of American Canyon.
The deadly bicycle accident happened at around 8:52 a.m. Saturday, October 24, on Highway 29, just north of North Kelly Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, Boyd was riding his bicycle northbound on Highway 29, approaching North Kelly Road connection when, for an unknown reason, he drifted over the connector road and was hit by a Jeep that was traveling northbound on North Kelly Road.
Deadly Bicycle Crash on Highway 29 in Napa County
Boyd was ejected from the bike upon the impact and sustained major injuries. He was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, where he later succumbed from his injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, Sara Crowell, 21, of Davis, was uninjured. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
