Corona, California (July 7, 2021) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by a train Monday afternoon in Corona as Kelly Goldberg, 24, of Corona.
The deadly accident occurred around 3:55 p.m. Monday, July 5 on Burlington Northern Santa Fe Tracks near the Joy Street crossing.
According to the Corona Police Department, Goldberg was attempting to cross the railroad tracks when she was hit by a freight train.
It was not immediately clear if she did not see the train approaching, or tried to make it across before it arrived.

Goldberg was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rail line was blocked as BNSF officials investigated the accident.
