Happy Valley Woman Kelli Bjorlin Among 5 Hurt in Cottonwood Car Crash on Bowman Road near Sebastian Court

Cottonwood, California (April 8, 2019) – A Happy Valley woman was among five people injured, including two children, in a head-on collision that occurred in Cottonwood on Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Bowman Road near Sebastian Court at about 10:55 a.m. April 7.
CHP said the crash took place when Kelli Bjorlin, 33, of Happy Valley, was driving a 2006 Chevy Malibu eastbound on Bowman Road when she tried to make a right turn and traveled into the path of a westbound 2008 Toyota Corolla.
The impact pushed the Chevy off the side of the roadway and it slammed into a pole.

Bjorlin and one of her passengers, a 6-year-old, suffered moderate injuries while the second passenger, a 4-year-old child, sustained major injuries. The driver and passenger of the Corolla had moderate injuries. All the patients were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
CHP said alcohol and drugs did not appear to have played a role in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
