Justin Miller Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 50 in Sacramento

Sacramento, California (September 24, 2019) – Justin Daniel Miller, 29, of San Ramon, was seriously injured early Monday morning in a traffic accident involving a wrong-way driver in West Sacramento, according to a local news report.

The crash happened at about 12:20 a.m. Monday, September 23 on Highway 50, just east of Harbor Boulevard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Brett Austin Walter, 25, of Fair Oaks was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes when his Subaru Crosstrek collided head-on with a Toyota pickup operated by Miller.

Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated Walter from the Subaru. Both Walter and Miller sustained major injuries and were taken to UC Davis Medical Center.

Walter was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The crash remains under investigation.
