20-Year-Old Judith Sandoval Among 3 Injured in Merced Car Crash on Highway 140
Merced, California (June 9, 2019) – A La Selva woman aged 20 was among three people hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Merced County on Saturday afternoon, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened at about 12:35 p.m. June 8, on Highway 140 near Quinley Avenue.
CHP said Sandoval was driving a Toyota 2008 RAV4 westbound on Highway 140 when she tried to make a left turn into a private driveway and collided with an eastbound 2005 Chevy Astro van.
Judith Sandoval Injured in Merced Car Wreck
Sandoval sustained moderate injuries and was flown to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the van was transported by ambulance to Merced Medical Center in Merced while her passenger was taken to a Modesto hospital. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
CHP said alcohol and drugs did not appear to have played a role.
The wreck is under investigation.
