Santa Maria, California (January 6, 2020) – A man was arrested following a suspected DUI crash that left a pregnant woman injured on Saturday night in Santa Maria, according to a local news source.
The incident happened on Cook Street and Pine Street at about 11:30 p.m. January 4.
Authorities said Juan Najera Santos, 25, of Santa Maria ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a vehicle driven by a pregnant woman.
The woman was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and was taken to a hospital with major injuries.

Santos was arrested on charges of DUI causing injuries and was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.
