Joshua Boykin ID’d as Man Killed in Sonora Motorcycle Crash on Highway 108/120 and O’Byrnes Ferry Road

Sonora, California (March 15, 2019) – Authorities have identified the man killed in an accident involving a motorcycle on Wednesday evening in Sonora as Joshua Cody Boykin, 45, of Ceres, as per a report by the police.
The incident was reported at about 6:25 p.m. March 13, on Highway 108/120 west of O’Byrnes Ferry Road.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department said Jeffery Smith, 25, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe west on Highway 108/120 when he struck a 2016 Yamaha R1 motorcycle driven by Boykin.
Joshua Boykin Killed in Sonora Motorcycle Accident
The bike tumbled across the embankment and came to a rest on the south of the rider.
Boykin was wearing a full-face helmet, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Smith was unhurt in the crash.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
