Joseph Zamora ID’d as 1 of 3 Killed in Oceanside Crash on Highway 78
Oceanside, California (November 11, 2020) – One of the three people who were killed Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident in Oceanside has been identified as Joseph Raymond Zamora, 43, according to a press release by the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly single-vehicle crash transpired at about 2:05 p.m. Thursday, November 5, on Highway 78 near the intersection of Valley Glen Drive and Vista Way.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Zamora was driving a Mitsubishi Outlander westbound on Highway 78 when, for undetermined reasons, the vehicle drifted off the right shoulder and hit a metal light pole.
Zamora and his two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
No other details were given.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
