Santa Rosa, California (November 8, 2019) – 29-year-old Jose Sosa of Forestville has been identified as one of the two victims hospitalized after a car crash in Santa Rosa on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol spokesman David deRutte.

The two-vehicle crash happened at around 3:50 a.m. November 8, on Highway 12 just east of Llano Road.

As per the report, a green Honda Accord driven by Sosa collided with a gray Nissan Versa operated by 22-year-old Daniel Cruz McFadden. The precious circumstances that lead to the collision were not disclosed.

Due to the impact, both drivers were trapped in their vehicles.

Sosa and McFadden were extricated from the wreckage by the Santa Rosa Fire Department. Both men were then transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries.

The CHP said both male parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

Meanwhile, drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash.

The investigation is underway.
