Jose Sandoval Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident at Mckee Road and El Rancho Verde Drive

San Jose, California (January 11, 2019) – An elderly man killed after a pedestrian collision Monday evening at an intersection in San Jose has been identified as 83-year-old Jose Sandoval of San Jose, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at around 6:40 p.m. Monday, January 7, at Mckee Road and El Rancho Drive.
As per the report, Sandoval was pushing a shopping cart in a crosswalk on McKee Road when a westbound 2000 Mazda 626 struck him.
Responding emergency crews rushed Sandoval to the hospital where he later died.
Authorities said that the Mazda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials after the collision.
No other details concerning the accident were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
