Jose Pavon Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash at Old Castle and Indian Hill Roads in Escondido
Jose Pavon ID’d as Driver Killed in Escondido Crash at Old Castle Road and Indian Hill Road
Escondido, California (April 28, 2021) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the driver who died early Wednesday morning following a traffic accident in Escondido as Jose Eduardo Gomez Pavon, 29.
The deadly crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Old Castle and Indian Hill roads, just west of Interstate 15 in the unincorporated Hidden Meadows area.
According to the authorities, Pavon was driving an older model Honda Accord sedan eastbound when, for unknown reasons, the sedan drifted across westbound lanes and crashed into a tree.
Deadly Car Crash in Escondido
Pavon was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel.
Further details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
