Jorge McCarthy Killed in Ventura County Crash on Vineyard Avenue and Central Avenue
Ventura County, California (April 4, 2019) – Police officers have identified the Oxnard man struck and killed by a vehicle on Monday night in Ventura County as Jorge McCarthy, 24, as per a police report.
The collision took place at about 8:20 p.m. April 1, on east Vineyard Avenue north of Central Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said McCarthy was in a darkened stretch of the roadway when a Mini Cooper traveling southbound on Vineyard Avenue struck him.

McCarthy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved in the crash stopped and cooperated with the police.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
