Sacramento, California (August 20, 2020) – Jordan Ware, 22, has been identified as the suspect who was arrested after a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian last week on Thursday in Sacramento, authorities said.
The deadly crash happened on August 13, at the intersection of 4th and I streets.
According to the police, a pickup truck, driven by Ware, ran a red light before hitting a pedestrian in a crosswalk at the intersection.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ware fled the scene before the police arrived. He was later arrested and booked into Sacramento County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run, on Wednesday, August 19.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
