Jonathan Rosete Killed in Dixon Car Accident on Interstate 80
Jonathan Rosete ID’d as Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 80 near Currey Road in Dixon

Solano County, California (November 6, 2019) – The Solano County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was killed Tuesday night in a traffic accident in Dixon as Jonathan Rosete, 23, of Sacramento.
The deadly crash took place at around 10:42 p.m. Tuesday, November 5 on eastbound Interstate Highway 80, just east of Currey Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Rosete was driving at above the 65-mph speed limit and was changing lanes from the No. 2 lane to the No. 3 when his 2007 Honda Accord collided with a 2013 Ford Escape that was traveling at a slower speed.
As a result of the collision, the Ford rolled over and came to rest on its right side on the right shoulder of Interstate 80 eastbound from Currey Road. The Honda continued eastbound and became lodged in the bushes east of the Ford.
Rosete, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. The driver of the Ford, only identified as a 71-year-old Silveyville woman, was transported to the Kaiser hospital in Vacaville with minor injuries.
Authorities said alcohol played a role in the crash.
