Jonathan Lee Durrer Killed, Passenger, 14, Severely Injured in San Bernardino Motorcycle Accident at Portola and Christy Avenues

San Bernardino, California (May 2, 2019) – 20-year-old Jonathan Lee Durrer was killed and a 14-year-old passenger severely injured in a traffic collision that involved a motorbike and a car in San Bernardino Tuesday afternoon.
The accident was reported at about 3:45 p.m. April 30, in the area of Portola Street and Christy Avenue.
Durrer was riding a dirt bike-style motorcycle with a 14-year -old passenger along the San Bernardino intersection when he struck a car driven by a juvenile, according to a local news source. Durrer slammed into the car when it turned into a driveway near the crossing.
Durrer sustained fatal trauma injuries while his passenger suffered severe injuries as a result of the collision. The injured party was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment. The unidentified patient was stated to be in critical condition.
The 16-year-old driver of the involved car was not injured in the accident. No further details regarding the wreck have been released to this time.
