Orange County, California (July 8, 2019) – Jon Michael Schwarz, 50, of Tustin was among four people killed Sunday afternoon in a head-on collision involving two motorcycles in Modjeska Canyon in Orange County, authorities said.
The tragic accident took place at around 4:33 p.m. Sunday, July 7 in the area of Santiago Canyon and Modjeska Canyon roads.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Santiago Canyon when it attempted to pass a Scion TC at a bend in the road and ended up in southbound lanes, where it collided head-on with a Honda motorcycle.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and declared the four people dead at the scene. Schwarz was the driver of one of the motorcycles.
Santiago Canyon Road was shut down in both directions as crews worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
