Johnny Kristensen Killed in Santa Clarita Collision on 14 Freeway
Santa Clarita, California (May 22, 2021) – The motorcyclist who died in a crash involving a big rig in Santa Clarita on Thursday evening has been identified as Johnny Kristensen, 40, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Inspector-Coroner.
The California Highway Patrol said the deadly crash happened just before 6:50 p.m. May 20, on northbound 14 Freeway at Newhall Avenue.
A motorcycle driven by Kristensen collided with a big rig and the impact sent Kristensen flying through the air and onto the ground.
Johnny Kristensen Killed in Santa Clarita Motorcycle Crash
Kristensen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash caused a closure of the Newhall Avenue onramp to the northbound 14 Freeway.
The wreck remains under investigation.
