John Stapp Killed in Car Crash on Highway 299 near Oak Run Road in Bella Vista
Bella Vista, California (September 14, 2020) – 77-year-old John Franklin Stapp of Palo Cedro has been identified as the man who was killed in a traffic collision in Bella Vista on Saturday, August 29.
The California Highway Patrol said the fatal collision happened at about 12:30 p.m. on Highway 299 between Oak Run Road and Buzzard Roost Road.
The number of vehicles involved in the crash and the events preceding the collision were not immediately established.
The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office said Stapp was killed in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
