Lompoc, California (February 10, 2021) – The man who died after being struck by a vehicle last week Thursday in Lompoc has been identified as John Fragosa, 69, of Lompoc.

The deadly accident was reported just before 7 p.m. Thursday, February 4 in the 1600 block of West Ocean Avenue, authorities said.

According to the authorities, Fragosa was hit by a vehicle for undetermined reasons on West Ocean Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to Fragosa.

Despite life-saving measures, Fragosa did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No details about the involved driver were immediately provided. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the accident.
