John Atcheson Killed in Car Crash at Meandro Drive and Rancho Bernardo Road in San Diego
San Diego, California (January 8, 2020) – 71-year-old John Atcheson of San Diego has been identified as the man who was killed in a car accident that occurred in San Diego on Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened in the area of Meandro Drive and Rancho Bernardo Road at about 6:30 p.m. January 6.
Atcheson had been driving a 2018 Chevrolet Volt and was turning onto Rancho Bernardo Road when he collided with an eastbound Toyota Tacoma pickup truck,
Atcheson was transported to Palomar Medical Center where he died while undergoing treatment.
The 23-year-old female driver of the other car was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
