Joel Tice Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 4 in Martinez
Joel Tice ID’d as Pittsburg Man Killed in Martinez Crash on Highway 4 near Alhambra Avenue
Martinez, California (January 29, 2021) – Joel Tice, 53, of Pittsburg, has been identified as the man who was killed in a Wednesday night single-vehicle accident in Martinez, according to the authorities.
The deadly crash, which was reported at around 8:12 p.m. on January 27, occurred in the eastbound lane of Highway 4, just west of Alhambra Avenue.
A Lexus sedan, driven by Tice, reportedly veered off the roadway and rolled over. As a result of the collision, Tice was ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the Tice suffering from major injuries.

Tice was transported to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
It was not immediately clear whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
