Westlake, California (December 3, 2020) – Jeun Chu Ham, 76, has been identified as the woman who was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver last month in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, authorities said.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened shortly before 6 a.m. on November 23, on Miramar Street at Union Avenue.

According to the police, Ham was crossing the street when a tan Toyota Corolla that was turning left onto Miramar Street struck her. The car dragged Ham for about 15 feet.

Ham was taken to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Ronald Waldamar Jo-Jlux, 26, also known as Ronald Lux, who is believed to have been the driver responsible for the crash, fled the scene and is being sought by the police.

Detectives believe Ronald is currently driving the vehicle involved in the hit and run, a 4-door tan or a gold 2003 to 2008 Toyota Corolla, with its driver’s side wheels missing its hub caps or is equipped with aftermarket black rims, the police said.

A reward of up to $50,000 is available, through the city of Los Angeles, for anyone who provides information leading to the identification and conviction of a suspect.
