Jesse Rio ID’d as Man Killed in Morgan Hill Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101
Morgan Hill, California (March 21, 2019) – Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in an accident involving a vehicle on Saturday evening in Morgan Hill as Jesse Del Rio, 30, of San Jose, as per the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
The collision took place at about 5:10 p.m. March 16, on U.S Highway 101 south of East Dunne Avenue.
Police said Rio was driving a 2011 Yamaha on northbound Highway 101 when he failed to stop for slowing traffic and crashed into a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. The impact of the crash ejected Rio onto the Highway.
Jesse Del Rio Killed in Morgan Hill Crash
Rio sustained severe injuries and was taken to Regional Medical Center of San Jose, where he died.
A 45-year-old woman who was the driver of the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
