Jennifer Pinkham ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Visalia Crash at Giddings Street and Vassar Avenue
Visalia, California (August 15, 2019) – Authorities have identified the woman who was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver Wednesday night at an intersection in Visalia as Jennifer Pinkham, 20.
The tragic accident took place at about 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14 at the intersection of Giddings Street and Vassar Avenue.
According to the authorities, Pinkham was crossing Giddings Street and Vassar Avenue when she was hit by a Ford F-150 that was driven by Kenneth Bates, 50.
Pinkham was taken to Kaweah Medical Center, but she succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.
Bates was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence causing great bodily injury or death. He was booked into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
