Jeffrey Culver Injured in Bakersfield Big Rig Crash on Highway 99 near Highway 119
Bakersfield, California (March 23, 2020) – A 43-year-old man was injured in a fatal big rig crash early Sunday morning in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened shortly after 4 a.m. March 22, on Highway 99 just north of Highway 119.
According to CHP, a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling northbound on Highway 99 when it was rear-ended by a big rig.
The impact pushed both vehicles off the side of the roadway.
Jeffrey Culver Injured in Fatal Bakersfield Collision
The driver of the Jetta, identified as a 59-year-old man, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the big rig, Jeffrey Culver, 43, was taken to Kern Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
