Jeffery Heffington and Sheila Heffington Killed in Angels Camp Crash on Highway 4 near Pool Station Road
Angels Camp, California (February 19, 2020) – Two people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision that happened in the area of Angels Camp at around 11:10 a.m. on Saturday, February 15.
The deadly crash occurred along westbound Highway 4 near Pool Station Road.
As per the California Highway Patrol, Haomiao Zhang, 20, of Davis was driving a 2016 Lexus RX350 eastbound on Highway 4 at an unknown speed when he crossed the double yellow lines and collided with a westbound 2019 Toyota RAV4.
Due to the impact of the collision, the Toyota rolled onto its side, pinning its two occupants.

The occupants of the Toyota, identified as Jeffery Heffington, 60, and Sheila Heffington, 58, of Chowchilla, were taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.
The Lexus also rolled over and collided with a traffic sign.
Zhang and his passengers, Ao Yang, 20, Minhao Liang, 19, and Linjunche Seyache, 19, were all hospitalized with major injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
Highway 4 was closed for nearly one hour as crews cleared the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
