Jason LaFountain Killed in Car Accident on 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass
Jason LaFountain ID’d as Person Killed in Cajon Pass Truck Crash on 15 Freeway near Highway 138

Cajon Pass, California (May 31, 2019) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has identified Jason LaFountain, 45, of Wildomar as the person who was killed Thursday night in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck in Cajon Pass.
The deadly crash occurred at around 7:53 p.m. Thursday, May 30 on 15 Freeway, just south of Highway 138.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by LaFountain slammed into the center divider before crashing into the rear of a Turquoise-colored semi-truck on northbound 15 Freeway.
LaFountain was trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated by the firefighters.
LaFountain was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:28 pm. The semi-truck driver was taken to Desert Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
