Huntington Beach, California (June 20, 2019) – 26-year-old Jason Cahua, of Huntington Beach, has been identified as the pedestrian who was sadly fatally struck and hurt in a traffic collision in Huntington Beach Wednesday morning.
The pedestrian collision occurred at about 5:00 a.m. June 19, at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Adams Avenue.
As per the Huntington Beach Police officials, the accident happened when Cahua was struck by an alleged Ford Ranger pickup truck while crossing the intersection.
The initial report identified the driver of the involved Ford as 62-year-old Huntington Beach man.

Cahua was found lying in the middle of the road suffering from grave injuries. Cahua was transported to UCI Medical Center by an ambulance, where he sadly died of his wounds a short while later at precisely 6:32 a.m.
The driver of the pickup stopped and cooperated with the officials’ investigations.
The police affirmed that the motorist was not under intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
