Woman Killed in Jamul Pedestrian Crash at Campo Road
Jamul, California (January 3, 2020) – A woman was killed after a pedestrian accident Thursday night in Jamul, according to authorities.
The deadly collision occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, January 2, at 14145 Campo Road near a casino along state Route 94.
As per the CHP officials, a woman was hit and killed by a car for unknown reasons.
Responding emergency crews tried to revive the woman to no avail. The victim was declared dead at the scene. The name of the deceased person was not immediately known awaiting notification of family.
Authorities closed all lanes of Highway 94 at Peaceful Valley Ranch Road at around 10:00 p.m. and one-way traffic was in effect at about 10:10 p.m.
Officials said the minivan driver remained at the crash site following the collision.
Authorities did not suspect DUI to have played a role in the crash.
