James Waite, Shauna Waite ID’d as Husband and Wife Killed in Napa County Plane Crash near Angwin Airport
Napa County, California (July 19, 2021) – James Waite and his wife Shauna Waite, both 37 years and from Arlington, Virginia, were among three people who were killed Friday morning in a fiery plane crash in Angwin, Napa County.
The fatal crash happened at around 8:40 a.m. Friday, July 17 south of the Angwin Airport.
Authorities said the plane, a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza, was attempting to land at the Angwin Airport when the plane clipped some trees and crashed into a vineyard.
The plane then caught fire.

The pilot, Robert Nicholas, 73, of Murrieta, and two passengers, James and Shauna Waite, were killed in the accident.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident.
