James Radzik Hit and Killed by Car on Towne Avenue near Syracuse Drive in Claremont, Los Angeles

Claremont California (January 10, 2020) – Helen Scheuplein has been arrested following a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident that killed a 50-year-old man in the Claremont area of Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning, January 8.
The accident was reported at about 2:30 a.m. on Towne Avenue near Syracuse Drive, the California Highway Patrol said.
Helen Scheuplein, 67, was reportedly driving a car that struck 50-year-old James Radzik.
James Radzik was pronounced dead at the scene.
Scheuplein reportedly fled the scene after hitting Mr. Radzik.
Helen Scheuplein Arrested on Suspicion of DUI in Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash in Claremont
The motorist was tracked down and located the next day.
She was arrested and booked into the Claremont Police Department Jail on multiple charges, including DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
No other information about the accident was provided.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
