James Oxford, Thelma Oxford Injured in 2-Car Crash on Highway 395 in Lassen County

Lassen County, California (October 7, 2020) – James E. Oxford, 53, and Thelma Oxford, 55, both of Ocala, Florida, have been identified as the persons who were injured in a head-on car crash late last month in Lassen County, authorities said.

The two-vehicle accident transpired at about 9:30 p.m., on Wednesday, September 30, on Highway 395 south of Thunder Mountain Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Larry W. Fergusen, 74, of Reno, Nevada, collided head-on with a 2020 Mazda CX-30.

James Oxford and Thelma Oxford Injured in Lassen County Car Crash

Both James and Thelma sustained minor injuries and were transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center for treatment.

Fergusen, who was allegedly driving the wrong way, was also taken to Banner Lassen Medical Center with minor injuries, the officials said.

Fergusen was arrested for driving under the influence.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
