James Kendrick ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Contra Costa County Accident at Berrellesa Street and Green Street

Contra Costa County, California (January 12, 2019) – The Contra Costa County coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday night in Contra Costa County as James Kendrick, 72, of Crockett.
The tragic accident happened at about 8:45 p.m. Monday, January 7 at the intersection of Berrellesa and Green streets.
Authorities said Kendrick was struck by an unspecified vehicle at the intersection for reasons still under investigation.
Emergency responders found Kendrick lying on the ground in the road. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No other details were immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation.

The law requires drivers to slow down and give the right of way to pedestrians in both marked and unmarked crosswalks.
