20-Year-Old Isadora Stabel Killed in Irvine DUI Car Crash at Main Street and Culver Drive

Irvine, California (August 30, 2020) – 20-year-old old Isadora Stabel, of Irvine, has been identified as the woman who died following a suspected DUI hit-and-run collision at an intersection in Irvine Saturday night.
The fatal traffic crash happened at Main Street and Culver Drive at approximately 8:45 p.m.
Officials said a Ford F-150 pickup truck, operated by 40-year-old Antonio Calixto Navarrete, ran a red light and rear-ended a black Hyundai Elantra at the Irvine intersection on August 22.
Navarrete, who was intoxicated at the time of the collision, fled the scene after the wreck.

Stabel was reportedly riding as a back seat passenger in the Hyundai Elantra with her seatbelt on at the time of the crash. She was hospitalized at Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana with major injuries sustained in the mishap.
Sadly, Stabel died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
Navarrete, a San Clemente resident, was later arrested and charged with one felony count each of murder, hit-and-run causing serious injury and driving under the influence.
The deadly accident remains under investigation.
