Irvine, California (June 28, 2021) – At least one person was injured following an alleged hit-and-run collision in Irvine on June 24.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash site at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Interstate 405 near University Drive.

The accident involved a white Chevrolet Malibu and a silver Audi SUV that crashed on the southbound lanes of the highway for undetermined reasons.

The crash left at least one person with unspecified injuries.

One of the involved motorists did not stop to render aid and escaped the crash site.

The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
