3 Hurt in Indio Accident at Indio Boulevard and Fred Waring Drive
Indio, California (February 5, 2021) – Three people, including a child, were hospitalized after being involved in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Indio Thursday afternoon.
The alleged hit-and-run accident took place at Indio Boulevard and Fred Waring Drive shortly before 4:30 p.m.
It was not immediately established how a black Toyota Highlander crashed with a red Toyota Camry at the Indio intersection.
3 Hospitalized After Indio Car Crash
A female party and her 5-year-old child, who were riding in the Camry, were hurt following the mishap.
The kid was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the mother and another adult party were rushed to an area hospital via a ground ambulance for further medication.
The Highlander operator, a Latino man, escaped the crash site on foot.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
