Rider Injured in Igo Motorcycle Crash on Gas Point Road and Placer Road

Igo, California (June 25, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a Friday night traffic collision that occurred at an intersection in Igo, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 9:08 p.m., a motorcycle collided with a car at Gas Point Road and Placer Road.
The motorcycle was blocking the roadway.
A party reporting the accident told authorities he was helping the rider to sit down next to his car because he was falling when he tried to stand up.
The Shasta Area Safety Communications Agency sent firefighters and paramedics to the scene to help the rider.
The motorcyclist was taken to Mercy Medical Center with possible major injuries
No other details were given about the crash.
CHP is investigating the incident.
