One Person Killed, One Injured in Huntington Beach Pedestrian Accident at Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street

Huntington Beach, California (July 26, 2021) – One person was killed in a Sunday evening pedestrian accident that left one other person injured in Huntington Beach, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian crash transpired at about 8:00 p.m., on July 25, at Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street.
According to the police, a vehicle driven by Chillandra Bell crashed into two pedestrians at the intersection for undetermined reasons.
Sadly, one of the pedestrians was pronounced dead at the scene. The other pedestrian was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
Bell tried to flee the scene but was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run, resulting in death.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
