Acton, California (July 21, 2021) – 35-year-old Roberto Hernandez Deloya, of Palmdale, has been arrested following an alleged DUI fatal collision in Acton Friday morning.

The deadly crash happened on 14 Freeway just about 1:15 a.m. on July 16.

The accident began when a 2014 Buick driven by Deloya northbound on the interstate near Puritan Mine Road slammed into the back of a 2002 Chevy pickup in the morning hours.

Due to the impact, the Chevrolet rolled over.

Humberto Balderrama Killed in Acton 2-Vehicle Crash

The Chevrolet motorist, 48-year-old Humberto Gaytan Balderrama, was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Another Chevrolet occupant was taken to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained in the crash.

Deloya, who was intoxicated at the crash time, was later arrested on suspicion of murder charges.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
